Galway City

The report for Galway City is presented in this section of the website. The Planet Youth Galway City 2025 report is based on the pupils in the 11 schools and centres within the city boundary. It presents the responses of 832 15 and 16-year-old pupils who completed their Junior Cycle in Galway City schools in June 2024. The pupils sat the Planet Youth survey in November 2024 after their return to school to start their Senior Cycle. The report gives us a comprehensive insight into the lives of our young people and what it’s like growing up in Galway City now. It provides some trend information across all four Planet Youth surveys and cross-tabulations that examine some of the risk and protective factors in our teenager’s social environment.
